The Media Project Southern Africa of the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation (FES) supports media freedom, access to information, and diversity of media. Located in Windhoek, Namibia, this FES-office aims at creating and strengthening the political, legal, and regulatory frameworks for media in the southern African sub-region. The FES-Media Project promotes the self-regulation of the media, the transformation of National into Public Broadcasters, and gender mainstreaming in and through the media.
