Manual Temático Grupo Editorial de Agricultura (Editorial Group Production of Agriculture)Publication DateNovember 2003
SummaryThis publication is part of a series of Portuguese-language training materials produced during "Strengthening Democracy and Governance through Development of the Media in Mozambique", a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)/United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) media development project that ran from 1998 to 2006 in Mozambique. According to the publication, community radio is a unique local force for development. As part of the project strategy, UNESCO helped organise the work of the community radio stations it supports into "editorial groups". These were groups of community programme producers, who produce programmes related to the special interests of the community which had been identified in initial audience research. The organisers state that one of the most important areas of interest identifed was farming. This manual was designed to assist editorial groups in producing programmes on agriculture for community radio. The programming aimed to provide information and create a forum for farmers to share their experiences and ideas. The manual is designed to be a step-by-step tool to guide editorial groups to identify and respond to the needs of farming communities. PublisherNumber of Pages69 CostFree to download
