The International Land Coalition (ILC), a group of 65 of civil society organisations and intergovernmental organisations working for greater access to land, is accepting applications for an internship for a 3 - 6 month duration. The ILC Secretariat consists of approximately 12 people with representation in three main regions of work: Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The intern is expected to work in ILC offices in Rome, Italy, for the duration of the contract. The ILC is hosted by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) (relatives of IFAD employees are not eligible). Remuneration is €600 per month. The intern will support the work of the Communications Coordinator. The context of communications is that the Council of the ILC has very recently (2008) voted for greater regionalisation of activities, sharing of information, and more emphasis on the work of members. A communications strategy was approved to strengthen existing communications tools (database, newsletter, publications, promotional materials, and campaigns) and work towards integrating regional communications activities with those of ILC globally.
