Communications Officer
WHO's Department of Child and Adolescent Health (CAH) aims to enable countries to pursue evidence-based strategies in order to reduce health risks, morbidity and mortality along the life course, promote the health and development of newborn infants, children and adolescents, and create mechanisms to measure the impact of those strategies.
Under the supervision of Director, CAH, the Communications Officer will have responsibility for developing and implementing CAH's communication strategy, products and materials (web-based, written, broadcast, audio-visual, oral) on CAH's work and child and adolescent health related matters for target audiences.
The successful candidate will have a university degree in journalism or a communications-related area and have broad-based knowledge of modern communication techniques and public relations. At least 8 years of experience in communications or journalism at the national and international levels will be required.
