The Peace Pals invites children throughout the world between the ages of 5 and 15 to participate in The 11th Annual International Peace Pals Art Competition and Exhibition. Entries are divided into four age categories for the awarding of prizes: 5-8 years, 9-12 years, 13-15 years, and 16-19 years of age.
The competition’s theme is ‘Friendship’. Pictures should include the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth". Awards will be decided by a panel of international judges. First, second, and third place entries in each of the categories will be made into greeting cards, which will be awarded to all winners.
Rules for the competition are:
* The Message: Each design must incorporate the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth."
* Size: A single dimension measuring 4.75“ x 6.75” (12 cm x 17 cm) in either a horizontal or vertical format.
*Or work may be in photo or video format.
* The Design: This may be drawn, sketched, or painted in any style on paper or cardboard. However, no organic elements or loose items can be used.
* The Number of Entries: Entries from each person are unlimited.
* Information Required: On the reverse side of the artwork, the following information should be typed on an adhesive label or printed legibly: full name, age, address, city, and country. (If sending multiple entries as a school, also include: school or institution and grade. If you wish to receive a paper copy of the electronically downloadable certificate please include with the entry a self-addressed return mailing envelope for a certificate of participation).
The deadline for application is June 30 2008.
