The Young Women's Leadership Institute (YWLI) is a feminist organisation that nurtures young women’s leadership and creates and provides spaces for young women’s participation in policy processes. YWLI is currently looking for a young woman to intern at their secretariat for a period of six months from March to August 2008.
YWLI has several programmes, one of which is Leadership Development. The aim of the Leadership Development Programme is to empower and build the leadership capacities of young women to address different development and human rights concerns. Through the Leadership Development Programme, YWLI provides the space for young women to participate in an active internship that allows them personal empowerment and the opportunity to learn practical programme implementation skills. Interns also get hands-on experience in community development work.
