SummaryBecause, as stated in the introduction to this Uganda National Expanded Program on Immunization (UNEPI) booklet, leaders played a big role in mobilising their communities for immunisation services in prior (1980's) immunisation campaigns in Uganda, high immunisation coverage was maintained until the mid-1990s. In an effort to reverse a decline in the late 1990's, the Ugandan Ministry of Health embarked on intensive community mobilisation to promote utilisation of immunisation services. This document seeks to prepare leaders to increase the rate of immunisation by providing them with information for mobilising their communities.
