Event Summary

The theme of this conference is "Empowering the People." According to the organisers, time will be devoted to the new technologies as well as to ways of making them work on behalf of the people.

 

Workshops will be held on regulatory issues, the impact of climate change on small states, HIV/AIDS and the media, and broadcasting management. There will also be sessions on exposing corruption, state pressures on the broadcaster, media and good governance, gender and diversity, and media freedom and the safety of journalists.
