Media/Materials Clearinghouse Avian Influenza Communication MaterialsSummaryThe Media/Materials Clearinghouse (M/MC) is an international resource of health communication materials, hosted by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health - Center for Communication Programs (CCP), which includes resources such as pamphlets, posters, audiotapes, videos, training materials, job aids, electronic media, and other media/materials designed to promote public health. Through the Health Communication Materials Database, users can search materials by country, subject, medium, or language. M/MC has created a resource of avian influenza (AI) communication materials that can be downloaded and used in appropriate settings around the world. These resources include those produced by the Academy for Educational Development (AED), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health - Center for Communication Programs (CCP), various departments of the Hong Kong government, the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the Philippines Department of Health, SIL International, the United Kingdom Department of Health and Social Security, various offices of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), various departments of the United States government,the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the World Health Organization (WHO). As of December 2007, there are 52 total avian influenza resources available for download, including: flipcharts, novelty items such as bookmarks and stationery, pamphlets, posters, and training materials.
