Event summary

This Symposium, organised by the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), and the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), intends to provide a forum where world scientific experts and scientists working in affected areas can share knowledge, experiences and expertise on avian influenza. The forum will share knowledge and lessons learned during the last three years.


According to the organisers, this symposium will contribute to avian and pandemic influenza action plans, including risk communication and public awareness, improved pandemic preparedness plans, as well as collaboration and sharing of resources and specimens among research groups.
