Life skills include all aspects of wholesome living necessary for adolescents to be equipped in approaching eventual responsibilities in adulthood. Adolescence is a critical period in self-understanding, finding one’s way in fitting into the society. Development of self-confidence with a positive self-image is the foundation of responsible adulthood. Providing enabling environments to support adolescents in this critical formative stage is the main role of any individual, organization, or agency to be able to fulfill one’s mandate in the development of life skills.
Objectives:
This course was designed to provide the necessary competencies of the participants to be able to:
- Discuss the underlying purpose of introducing life skills approaches in providing information and education to adolescents to promote healthy social and emotional development.
- Explain the physical and psychological developments in adolescents with confidence.
- Identify and explain the importance of the foundation life skills.
- Plan activities to enhance the development of adolescents using life skills approaches.
- Present and discuss the plan with emphasis on expected results.

Costs:
- The workshop fee is US$1400, which includes tuition, workshop materials, morning and afternoon snacks, and field trip transportation including airport transfer.
- Not included in the fee are: airfare, accommodation, meals, insurance, and personal expenses.
