Excellence in Media Award for Global HealthRegion

Administered by the Global Health Council, this award is given each year to a journalist (print, electronic, and/or visual) who has in the prior year most effectively captured the essence of a major issue in global health and conveyed it to a broad audience. The Global Health Council recognises the vital role played by the media in informing the public and decision-makers, and seeks through this award to highlight the important contributions to understanding and action made by the winner of the award. The submission categories are: 1. Newspaper, Magazine, and Major Print Publication (for example, the N.Y. Times, the New Yorker, the Economist, TIME Magazine, the London Times). The award will be presented in Washington, DC, US, at a special awards ceremony during the Global Health Council's annual international conference.
