Jamaica Launches Ad Campaign Against Discrimination of HIV-Positive People

Summary

This article, published on the Kaiser Network website, describes a
Jamaican Health Ministry campaign which uses radio, television, newspapers and billboards
to spread messages discouraging HIV/AIDS stigma. The health ministry, according
to the article, is also developing a database to track discrimination.



This article also reports that the Jamaican parliament has recently proposed a list of suggestions for ending discrimination, including donated airtime for HIV/AIDS programming and restricting ads "that endorse activities associated with the spread of the disease."
