Scenarios from Africa - DVDsAuthorColeen Mcglaughlin
SummaryScenarios from Africa is a community mobilisation, education, and media process designed to improve the lives of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and reduce HIV incidence. Non-governmental organisations and community-based organisations throughout sub-Saharan Africa work in partnership with educators and the media to organise contests inviting young people to put forward ideas for short films about HIV/AIDS. The winning ideas are selected by multidisciplinary juries, adapted through dialogue with local communities, and transformed into communication resources by leading African film directors.
Broadcast throughout the continent and used at community level in a range of languages, compilations of the Scenarios films are available from Global Dialogues on the following regional, multi-language DVD sets (and may be requested by colour code and format type):
