Published by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), these sheets are the first installment in the development of a multimedia toolbox designed to help researchers who have no training in communications - particularly in the production aspect - become more effective in disseminating their research. Fourteen reference sheets deal with various communication processes and provide tools that can be used in the field. The introduction outlines how the author foresaw people might use these reference sheets.

According to IDRC, these sheets are working drafts. They strongly encourage your input on either the form or content of them.
