Summary

The Beat It! HIV/AIDS Treatment Literacy Series is a training resource that consists of a series of video programmes and accompanying workbooks. The series provides an introduction to the core information needed to respond creatively to people living with HIV/AIDS in their environment. This series was designed to support discussion and workshops on HIV/AIDS treatment literacy.

The 21 part series, available on DVD or VHS, combines personal documentary accounts of people living with HIV/AIDS with expert advice and explanations. This material is designed to assists facilitators to conduct HIV/AIDS Treatment Literacy workshops.

Each programme is accompanied by a workbook that provides additional information and a summary of the topic. The workbook aims to help facilitators prepare and present each topic, offers questions to stimulate discussion and offers methods of checking whether the information has been understood.
