This book is an introduction to the nuts and bolts of investigative journalism sprinkled with anecdotes and advice from leading journalists. Written by senior journalism lecturer Derek Forbes, the aim is to provide a practical guide to those interested in investigative journalism, with a particular focus on South Africa.

The book contains tips, suggestions, resources and legal information (on all Southern Africa Development Community - SADC - countries) which are intended to support journalists who want to report on and in Africa. It also provides practical guidance on investigative journalism and also discusses issues of media law.
