In 2004, the Department for International Development (DFID) produced four short films on CD-ROM to accompany the launch of its Departmental Report.The idea was to create a set of programmes to illustrate some of the development achievements being made around the world, focusing particularly on Asia and Africa. The main film "DFID: Development Works" shows examples of progress and successes such as:

• Reducing child mortality in Bangladesh
• The benefits of debt relief in Mozambique
• Educational improvements in Tanzania

Three more films focus individually on these country programmes, expanding on DFID's work in these areas.
