Summary

The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) set specific targets for reducing poverty and other sources of human deprivation and for promoting sustainable development. The Atlas presents colourful world maps and graphics that provide information for over 200 countries and territories on global issues, ranging from eradicating poverty and reducing child mortality to eliminating HIV/AIDS and promoting environmental sustainability. Designed to show detailed information on a small scale, the Atlas provides an introduction and quick reference to understand these global issues.
