Countries with re-established transmission of wild polio virus in 2004 to date [November 16 2004]:
Sudan, Chad, Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso

Total wild virus polio cases in 2003: 784

Total cases 1 Jan to 9 Nov 2004: 918
