Tuberculosis Case Management CD-ROM

Summary

This tool trains health workers in TB diagnosis and treatment using the WHO's Directly Observed Therapy Short-Course (DOTS) approach. Developed by Quality Assurance Project as the first product in the project's Quality Performance Learning Series, this is a cost-effective, innovative, computer-based learning tool which was created to strengthen competencies, enhance learning, and increase knowledge of health workers to improve performance and promote good health outcomes. The product has been tested in Ethiopia with 100 doctors, nurses, and other health professionals. Results from the pilot test indicate that health workers are able to learn from the program at a faster rate than traditional paper-based training and raise their competence scores for correct TB case management.
