40% of people in developing countries have never made a phone call.


In 2000, some 94% of all online transactions will take place in the developed world, that is a 19:1 ratio against Africa, Asia, and Latin America.


Some 90% of internet host computers are in high-income countries, home to a mere 16% of the world's population.


There are already more computers in America than the rest of the world combined.
