  • About 60% of Viet Nam's population of 76.3 million is below the age of 25. UNFPA
  • 33% of all births are reported as unwanted at time of pregnancy. UNFPA
  • As many as 40% of all pregnancies are aborted - one of the highest rates in South and Southeast Asia. UNFPA
  • HIV prevalence rate amongst 15 to 24 year olds in Viet Nam is 0.27% of young men and 0.09% of young girls. IPPF
  • The number of births to 1,000 young women aged 15 -19 is 20 compared to 4 in the Netherlands. IPPF
