The Society for New Communications Research (SNCR), a group which studies new communications tools, technologies, and emerging modes of communication, and their effects, is offering its annual Excellence in New Communications Awards. These awards honour the work of individuals, corporations, non-profit organisations, educational institutions, and media outlets that are pioneering the use of social media, ICT, mobile media, online communities, virtual worlds, and collaborative technologies in the areas of business, media, and professional communications, including marketing, public relations, and advertising, as well as entertainment, education, politics, and social initiatives. The awards will be presented at the New Communications Research Symposium & Awards Gala in Boston, MA, United States. The leading award winners will be featured in presentations at the Symposium programme, and all of the award-winning case studies will be published in the New Communications Review. Awards will be granted in six divisions:
