Diageo Africa Business Reporting AwardsDeadline DateMay 18 2007 The Diageo Africa Business Reporting Awards recognise and reward journalists and editors who have provided high quality coverage of the business environment in Africa. According to the organisers, there is currently relatively little reporting of business on the continent and they believe that the resulting shortfall in reliable information is hindering greater investment in Africa. Launched in 2004, the awards therefore aim to reward journalists and editors from around the world who have gone the extra mile to transform perceptions about the continent and promote a more balanced view of economic opportunity and business achievement in Africa. Winners will receive a unique bronze statue and a £500 cash prize. The awards reception will take place on July 5 2007 at The Royal College of Physicians in London.
