Educational Projects to be Promoted via TelevisionRegionGlobal, South Asia Deadline DateMarch 31 2007 This is a competition for projects in Asia on education for sustainable development (ESD). The winning projects will be filmed by competition sponsor TVE Asia Pacific and profiled in the Saving the Planet television series. They will also be featured on a dedicated website. In addition, representatives from all the selected projects will be sponsored to attend a regional workshop in mid 2007, where they will receive a week's training in communicating through audio-visual tools and new media. The television series, to be filmed during 2007-2008, will be offered to dozens of television channels across Asia. The series will also be distributed on video and To be eligible, the ESD projects need to be based in a developing country within the sub-regions of East Asia, South Asia or Southeast Asia.
