RNTC Production AwardsRegionGlobal, Western Europe Deadline DateNovember 1 2006 Radio Netherlands Training Centre (RNTC) supports and encourages the effective use of media for development by promoting ‘professionalisation’ through training and consultancy services for people working in, for or with the media in developing countries. Once a year, RNTC grants five RNTC Production Awards to enable media professionals "to make their dream programmes or website come true". For 2006, the jury will select two television programmes, two radio programmes and one website as winners. These will be awarded a budget to realise their proposals. The maximum budgets are as follows:
Proposals with higher budgets may be submitted but should include guarantees from other financial sources for the additional costs involved. Application InformationApplicants are asked for a synopsis, a production timeline and a budget, and a short motivation on why they think their proposal supports the development of (segments of) their society and why the proposal can be considered innovative - within the context of their society. Preference will be given to proposals from RNTC alumni (former course participants), but history shows also non-RNTC competitors stand a chance to win an award. Click here for more information and for access to the downloadable proposal forms. Proposals must reach RNTC on or before November 1 2006.
