Microsoft Community Learning Awards (MCLA)

Region

Global, Western Europe

Deadline Date

September 27 2006

A collaborative initiative of Citizens Online and Microsoft, these awards recognise communities and charities that promote information technology (IT) skills and access to those that might not have the same chances as others.

Grants of £2,500 plus IT software will be awarded to 30 winning entrants.

The awards are available to all community groups and registered charities throughout the United Kingdom that are seeking funding for IT skills projects for disadvantaged young people and adults in their area. The organisers welcome applications from religious organisations that want to carry out work in the community, but they cannot support projects that are designed to promote the religion itself, or where people must participate in religious services to benefit.
