The following are the award categories:
- Work and training;

- Body and soul; and
- Learning and knowledge.
The deadline for application is September 30 2008.
TalkTalk, a communications company of The Carphone Warehouse, in partnership with Citizens Online, a United Kingdom (UK) digital inclusion charity, invite UK charities and community groups to apply for grants that will help them harness the power of internet technology (IT). Thirty projects will benefit from UK£2,000 each, plus a year’s free subscription to TalkTalk.
The sponsors recognise that many UK charities and community groups
use the internet for giving support, for example,
chat rooms on health issues and
broadband, mobile, and other digital support networks.
The following questions are tips for those who wish to apply:
- In what way is the project innovative?
- How many people will benefit from the award?
- What resources do you need to complete the project?
- What is the planned timetable for the project?
- How will you measure the success of the project?
Guidelines for entry are:
- These awards cannot be used for projects that rely on unsecured funding.
- The awards funding can be used for both revenue and capital projects.
- Previous applicants (successful and unsuccessful) can reapply for the 2007 awards.
