Global Fund for Women GrantsRegionGlobal, Africa, Caribbean, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Latin America, South Asia, South Pacific, Western Europe Deadline DateRolling deadline The Global Fund for Women (GFW) aims to support women's groups that advance the human rights of women and girls. GFW works to strengthen women's groups based outside the United States (US) by providing small, flexible, and timely grants ranging from US$500 to US$20,000 for operating and project expenses. GFW values local expertise and believes that women themselves know best how to determine their needs and propose solutions for lasting change. The groups considered for funding address issues that include but are not limited to:
There are three types of grants offered:
The Global Fund supports organisations that demonstrate a commitment to women's equality and female human rights; show concern about the way women are viewed and view themselves in society; are governed and directed by women; consist of a group of women working together (the fund does not accept requests from individuals); and are based outside the United States.
