Africa Free Media Foundation (AFMF)/ World Free Press Institute (WFPI) Trophy for Impartial CoverageDeadline DateSeptember 30 2006 Kenya-based Africa Free Media Foundation (AFMF) (formerly Network for the Defense of Independent Media in Africa (NDIMA)) and US-based World The awards have three categories and are presented to media outlets which exhibit impartiality in covering war, conflict, election and politically motivated trials. The three trophies to be awarded include - one for the print media, another for broadcast and one for electronic media which will include the internet. Each trophy is valued at USD $1,000. Application InformationNominations for the awards are invited from all media houses through national and regional freedom of expression organisations.
