Microsoft Community Learning AwardsRegionGlobal, Western Europe Deadline DateMarch 24 2006 Organised by Citizens Online and Microsoft, the aim of the Microsoft Community Learning Awards is to support community groups and charities across the United Kingdom (UK) who are tackling digital exclusion by providing opportunities for disadvantaged young people and adults to learn about information technology (IT) through community-based technology and learning centres. 30 grants of £2,500 and software will be awarded to be put towards an IT project. Those wishing to apply are invited to show how they are already providing IT training and how a grant from Microsoft could enhance the contribution that is being made in the community. The organisers are looking for innovation and evidence of the difference that £2,500 could make to the community project. Click here for more information.
