Deadline DateFebruary 5 2006 Artwork that promotes and advocates for peace is being invited for submission to the 2006 Peace Bond Design Contest. Winners will be featured on the new 2006 Series A Peace Bonds and the designers will receive international recognition and a trip to Washington, DC for an award presentation and exhibition. The purpose of the Peace Bond Design Contest is to promote peace and non-violent conflict intervention around the world. There are two categories for the contest. Students in grades K-12 are eligible for the Junior Peace Bond Design Contest and adults 18 years or older are eligible for the Adult Design Contest. Entries will be judged on the expression of, advocacy of, or relation to peace. Originality and the power of the image as it pertains to peace will be taken into account during the judging. The judges will be looking for relation to peace, clarity of peace message, and originality/creativity when determining winners of this competition.

Entry fee should be a check, certified check, cashier's check, or money order payable to "Nonviolent Peaceforce." There is no entry fee for the Junior Contest or entries from countries other than the USA . All entries must be postmarked no later than midnight, February 5, 2006.
