Jointly sponsored by the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) and the
United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), this award
recognises "high quality, innovative radio or television programmes for children
that educate and entertain." The organisers ask that these programmes cover important
child related issues such as child protection, girl's
education, childhood development or HIV/AIDS. Programmes should be creative,
educational and entertaining to children.



Submitted programmes should be between 10 and 60 minutes long and have broadcast for the first time in 2005.
