The project focuses on communities in Gashbarka, bringing the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students (NUEYS) into the partnership. Using a multi-sectoral, community-based approach, the project aims to raise community awareness on gender-based violence, increase community knowledge of human rights, particularly women’s understanding of their rights, and contribute to the development of appropriate responses for survivors of gender-based violence. Activities include culturally appropriate methods tailored to the communities such as drama and radio programmes.
