The collective works through two directives: peace education and citizenship. It supports these directives by offering training and creating the necessary spaces of impact beginning with the youths own lives and experiences: the street, the school, the barrio, the town center, and their own stories and history.



Young journalist and professionals in communication, childhood and education constitute the training support and production groups. With 18 staff members, 508 workshops have been conducted as well as 47 education sessions. 3,570 boys and girls, 990 young people, 150 parents and 80 school teachers from Montes de María and other villages nearby have attended these events.

As result of these activities and projects young people and children in Montes de María have the opportunity to participate in the local media and become involved in research dealing with their own region and localities. The trainings have also improved their reading and writing abilities and also developed conditions within the community for rejecting a "war culture" and dealing with conflict.
