Programme Summary

A community radio station with a community, grassroots communication method of broadcasting local interest information. Most of the radio stations in Haiti are commercial. This project attempts to reach people in some of the regions which were hard hit by dictatorships which long ruled Haiti and to reflect and work on the issue that are priorities for them.

Communication Strategies

Radio broadcast on FM radio which reaches most of the Artibonite region and some other neighbouring regions for four hours in the evenings. During one of its most popular shows, community leaders go on air and discuss difficulties and initiatives in the regions where they live.

The radio programme was seen to be very popular immediately; locals flooded the radio station as the first few days of broadcast were sent out.
