It is a Catholic radio station that has four aims, to evangelise, educate, inform, and entertain. By knowing the audience and their environment, this community radio station effectively reaches out to people and received positive response. Communication StrategiesThis is a radio programme which reaches out at the grassroots level to address issues facing society. Evaluation by the radio station and by the community. Development IssuesGrassroots communication, women's issues, AIDS, self-reliance, unemployment. Key PointsCredibility and trust by listeners is earned, not demanded because people feel that Radio Icengelo is theirs. The radio attempts to have the maximum participation from the community.
