Programme SummaryFundación Fomento en Salud (FFS) is a non-profit organization based in Tegucigalpa. It was established with the purpose to promote the dialogue and move forward with corrective actions to health problems of the Honduran population. FFS is the linkage between implementing and cooperating sectors for strengthening technical, funding and managerial capabilities of public and private organizations. Communication Strategies1. Strengthen institutions' technical capabilities for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of disease control and prevention programmes, as well as the development of effective administrative and financial systems. 2. Promote, establish and maintain relations with national and international organizations for coordinating efforts in the interchange of information, cross-fertilization and technological transference. 3. Health Advocacy: Through policy advocacy by raising individual and collective conscience. Development IssuesSexual and reproductive health, Transmissible diseases, specifically sexually transmitted infections (STI/HIV/AIDS), Health and nutrition, Basic and environment sanitation, Health planning and administration, health economics. Key PointsFFS is also equipped with an internal and external auditing system. This system confirms that actions and funding execution are honestly and transparently managed by FFS, and benefits efficiently transferred to the beneficiary population. In the STD/HIV/AIDS area, Fundación Fomento en Salud currently implements the National Center for AIDS Awareness and Prevention (CNCPS).
