The MENTOR Initiative is offering a workshop in Abuja, Nigeria.

 

The focus of the workshop is to build the capacity of agencies at the forefront of health care provision in humanitarian crises to assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate effective and coordinated malaria prevention and control strategies as part of their overall emergency health response.

 

The workshop is targeted specifically at:

  • Headquarters (HQ) based staff of humanitarian relief organisations - providing country programme support, involved in policy development and/or advocacy functions
  • Field-based, with management responsibility for an emergency public health programme
  • Commercial partners who are involved in the support and supply and of materials to the humanitarian sector
  • Students (MSc and above), trainers and policy makers working in operational research with a specific interest in public health in emergencies
  • Institutional and non-institutional agencies funding and/or providing technical support to humanitarian organisations in the emergency context
