Organised by INTRAC, the aim of the course is to familiarise development
practitioners with principles, approaches and
recognised good practice in the application of
information and communication technologies (ICTs) in
different sectors, such as health, education,
livelihoods or governance. The course is structured to
provide an opportunity for participants to reflect on
their own situations, consider how ICTs might be
integrated into programmes and organisational
development, and to assess how an organisation might
take these ideas forward.
By the end of the course, participants will have
knowledge of: color="#000080"> of development programmes. programmes. of ICTs in development. communities have incorporated ICTs into their strategy and programming. organisation or programme. or constrain the use of ICTs.
NOTE: no specific ICT expertise is required for
this course other than the use of standard office
applications and web browsers and there is no ICT
training provided in the course.
