The Graduate School of Business and Government Leadership at the Mafikeng Campus in Mmabatho is hosting The International Conference On Africa: The Journey Towards Good Governance, Learning Societies/Organisational And Ethnical Leadership.
“Over the past decade, African governments have renewed their commitment to create just, equitable, people-centred and globally competitive nations by enacting, among others, landmark legislations and policy initiatives designed to transform their societies and organisational environments into more humane, better skilled, more diverse, more responsive, more innovative, healthier and more efficient systems.Implicit in all these endeavours is that organisations, both private and public, must be well managed and transformed into learning systems where the leader and the led are committed to the ethos of transformation, innovation and change through good governance and ethical conduct.”
The conference aims to take stock of the progress and difficulties encountered in transforming societies and organisations (both private and public) into learning and adaptive systems, responsive to internal and external influences and pressures. Based on a critical analysis of the performance of organisations or institutions in Africa in the past decade the conference hopes to develop policy recommendations.
