Overview

Successful partnerships have been proven to enhance the effectiveness and visibility of non-profit organisations and their programmes. They can help to cost-effectively provide target audiences with high-quality goods, services and information. As the non-profit environment becomes increasingly interconnected, selecting and managing the right partners is more and more of a strategic imperative. This is particularly relevant in the healthcare field where the complexity and potential severity of the issues being addressed often require multiple experiences and organisations to join forces. Whether
participants are considering a public-private partnership, seeking corporate funds, a coalition of non-profit organisations or a multidisciplinary project board, this workshop will help to:

  • Learn the dos and don’ts of building and managing successful partnerships
  • Review case study experience on what makes partnership-based programmes succeed or fail
  • Evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of potential partnerships
  • Develop a partnership plan as part of your overall strategic plan
  • Network and build professional relationships with your fellow participants

Participants can bring examples, questions and case studies from their organisation to be used as a framework to start developing a partnership plan.

  • Executive directors, programme managers/directors, development officers/directors
