CommDev Graduate Student Conference (April 13-14 2007)LocationAthens, OH, United States Event SummaryThis conference commemorates the 20th anniversary of Communication and Development Studies (CommDev) at Ohio University. The theme of the conference is "Communication and Sustainable Development in Intercultural Contexts." Call for Papers practitioners and other professionals and academics interested on issues of media and communication in the development with special attention to cultural, community, and societal issues. The conference is not restricted to graduate students enrolled in communications-related programmes. Graduate students from other disciplines with research interests in media and communication in socio-cultural and development contexts are welcome to submit their papers. The review committee for acceptance of papers will include faculty and students for the CommDev programme. Individual paper submission format: address, telephone number and e-mail address of the person to whom inquiries should be addressed on the title page only. The title should be on the first page of the text and there will be running heads on each page of text. Include your abstract as an attachment in a standard word-processing format (preferably Word or rich text format - RTF).
