Young African Activist's Summit (YAAS) 2007 (Feb 19-22 2007)

Event summary

This summit, organised by Maya Initiatives, Cameroon and Youths for Human Rights, Liberia, is aimed at creating a central system (an African network) where young African activists can share information and learn more about the activities of one another. YAAS 2007 will provide a forum for the sharing of resources (human and financial) that should strengthen and consolidate the activities of young African activists.

YAAS 2007 will also be a forum of mutual support where members can discuss their projects and ideas with other African youth. Some of the issues to be discussed will include sustainable development, illiteracy, the fight against HIV/AIDS, health, water, children's rights, human rights and governance.

YAAS 2007 is network of young development activists working to encourage positive thinking in Africa.
