Event summary

A satellite meeting of the XVI International AIDS Conference in Toronto, this session is organised by the Coalition on Children Affected by AIDS, a working group on psychosocial wellbeing of young children in sub-Saharan African communities affected by HIV/AIDS.


This session is supported and facilitated by the Bernard van Leer Foundation and will be held at the Metro Toronto Conference Centre in the Skills Building Room 6 from 12:30 – 14:30.

This session will explore the key policy issues and recommendations emerging from an international dialogue on the psychosocial wellbeing of children affected by HIV and AIDS, held in 2004–2006.
It will will also see the launch of a new publication, Where the heart is: Meeting the psychosocial needs of young children in the context of HIV/AIDS.
