The Summer Seminar Series runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from August 1 to 22nd 2006 and provides a workshop format for presentations and panel discussions that allow participants to explore and expand their knowledge of ideas, trends, and results pertaining to the practice of international development.
The sessions will feature presenters from within USAID, other US government agencies, and partner community.

This session will review what is currently known about bird-to-bird, bird-to-human and human-to-human transmission of H5N1 and summarise research findings from South East Asia and elsewhere regarding poultry-rearing practices and related knowledge and attitudes, focusing on knowledge gaps and opportunities for intervention.

The session will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Center for Association Leadership at the Marriott Learning Complex, located in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.
