Event summary

Oxfam Canada invites high school and post-secondary students to a day of discussion and simulations on global issues and taking action. During the conference, participants will engage in hands-on experiential learning workshops on topics such as HIV/AIDS, sweatshops, and trade. Most importantly, the participants are provided with the knowledge, resources, and support to take concrete action on these issues upon their return to school in the fall.


The symposium will take place from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the SFU Harbour Centrebe and will be attended by youth residing in and around the Vancouver Area.

This conference is facilitated entirely by volunteers, who are passionate about global issues.
