MeTA

Medicines Transparency Alliance

Medicines Transparency Alliance (MeTA) is a multi-stakeholder alliance working to improve access and affordability of medicines for the one-third of the world’s population unable to access essential medicines due to high cost or local unavailability. MeTA aims to help people get the medicines they need; its chosen tools are information and accountability. MeTA is working in seven pilot countries - Ghana, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Peru, the Philippines, Uganda, and Zambia - with representatives of government, private sector, and civil society to examine every link in the medicines supply chain, from manufacturer to patient.

The Communication Initiative is working to collect and disseminate information in support of the MeTA communication strategy. The summaries and links to projects and resources that you'll find within these pages are either specific to the MeTA campaigns or related to the themes on which MeTA is focusing.
