Although our experience has mainly been in media production for the advertising industry in Egypt, we have been developing the edutainment of our company over the past 6 months. There is a complete lack of edutainment for the tweens segment in Egypt (ages 8-12), and this is the age that we would like to focus on. We think that during these formative years, young adolescents need to have access to educational media that is stimulating and relevant to their daily lives. It is in this context that we are looking to develop a number of TV shows for this segment in Egypt.
We are interested in networking with other organizations that have similar objectives - especially in developing countries, where we feel we can learn a lot. We are also interested in seeing success stories / lessons learned in other contexts to identify best practices and establish a methodology for work that is efficient and cost-effective.
